SNCT Appeals
It is open to any teacher or associated professional to appeal to the SNCT on matters arising from national terms and conditions of service.
An appeal to the SNCT should only be submitted once local grievance appeal mechanisms have been exhausted.
Notice of appeal must be lodged with both Joint Secretary Employers’ Side and Joint Secretary Teachers’ Side within 20 working days of the outcome of the final local appeal being notified.

The Pay and Conditions of Service for teachers and associated professionals employed by Scottish Councils is detailed in the SNCT Handbook of Conditions of Service.
The Handbook came into effect on 1 August 2007 and replaces all previously issued SNCT Circulars.
It has been issued to LNCT Joint Secretaries.
